Limitations
- ERA is bucketed by IP — at small IP totals, ERA jumps in large discrete steps.
- Strict inequality: boundary ERAs (exactly equal to lower or upper bound) are excluded.
- Talent vs results: ERA does not separate sequencing luck from underlying skill.
